Why are calories now shown on menus in your stores in Quezon City?
This supports the Quezon City ordinance and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR), which require restaurants to display calorie (kcal) information on menus. This helps customers make more informed food choices that fit their preferences and needs.
Why are calories shown only in QC? Will this roll out nationwide?
The calorie labeling currently appears only in Quezon City stores, in line with the city ordinance. Expansion to other areas will follow applicable regulations.
How are calorie values computed?
All figures are calculated using approved methods as defined in the ordinance.
Do you round the numbers?
We display whole-kcal values for clarity. Minor rounding may occur, also aligned with the ordinance.
How often are calorie values updated?
We refresh our calculations as needed and in line with the city ordinance.
Why do your calories differ from third-party or fitness apps?
Our menu labels are the official calorie count for Greenwich products.
What is the difference between calories, kcal, and kilojoules?
They all measure energy. “Calorie” on menus means kilocalorie (kcal); 1 kcal equals 4.184 kilojoules (kJ). The QC ordinance requires expressing energy as kcal.
Are the calorie counts accurate for every order?
Our posted calories are the official values based on standard servings. Small variations may occur during preparation.
Do calories change if I customize my meal (e.g., extra cheese or no sauce)?
Yes. Add-ons or removals change the total. The number shown refers to the standard product.
Are calorie values based on average portion sizes or exact servings?
Calorie counts are based on standard servings.
For group meals, total calories are declared for the entire meal, not per serving.
Do combo meals show total calories for the entire meal?
Yes. Combo totals already include sides and drinks unless otherwise stated.
Does the calorie count include condiments like ketchup or mayo?
Optional condiments or self-serve dressings are not included unless specified.
Would you know the daily recommended calorie intake?
Please refer to the Reference Daily Calorie Requirement (Recommended Energy Intakes Per Day) from the Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI).
Can you help me choose a lower-calorie option?
You can use our menu labels to compare and find the lighter options that best suit your preference.
Can you provide guidance for people with medical or dietary conditions?
Sorry, we’re unable to make dietary or medical recommendations. Please consult your doctor or nutritionist for proper guidance.
